چکیده

In this study the effects of using defected ground structures (DGS) composed a complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) and CSRR with dumbbell (CSRR-D) for rectangular microstrip antennas are investigated. On aim, two different antennas, which Antenna B having etched DGS C CSRR-D designed fabricated in comparison ordinary patch antenna, is A. both Antennas C, same position planes. other hand, another called D, at resonance frequency C. For characterization; frequencies, voltage standing wave ratios, percentage bandwidths, gains, ka values gain radiation patterns investigated simulations experiments. The numerical analyses show that 29.39% 44.49% electrical size reduction (ESR) ratios obtained respectively to experimental results verify ESR 29.15% 44.94%. Supporting, promises 68.12% physical (PSR) as it compared D. These reveal good alternative based electrically small antennas.

Complementary Split Ring Resonator Effects on Radiation Pattern Reconfigurable Circular Microstrip Antennas

In this study, a radiation pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna is designed and fabricated. The antenna’s radiation pattern is directed in 9 different angles by employing a radiating patch and embedding complementary split ring resonators (CSRR) on the ground plane. The radiating patch is of circular shape, while for CSRR elements both circular and rectangular shapes are investigated. The ...

A Miniaturized Directional Coupler Using Complementary Split Ring Resonator and Dumbbell-Like Defected Ground Structure

A novel microstrip coupled-line directional coupler is proposed in this paper. It is based on the introduction of a complementary split ring resonator and dumbbell-like defected ground structure on the coupled lines to strongly enhance the designed backward coupling. The designed frequency band is from 1.2 to 1.5GHz. The coupler is fabricated and tested. The insertion loss is less than 3.5 dB. ...

Compact and Wide Stopband Lowpass Filter Using Open Complementary Split Ring Resonator and Defected Ground Structure

A compact (0.16 g × 0.08 g) and wide stopband lowpass filter design using open complementary split ring resonator (OCSRR) and defected ground structure (DGS) is presented in this paper. Low pass filter is constructed using two cascaded stages of OCSRR. Since the rejection bandwidth of the OCSRR is narrow, tapered dumbbell shaped DGS section is placed under the OCSRR to enhance the bandwidth. Th...

Microstrip Coupler with Complementary Split-Ring Resonator (CSRR)

A novel microstrip Coupler with Complementary SplitRing Resonator (CSRR) is simulated and fabricated. The CSRR structure in the grounded plane of a conventional microstrip double-line coupler, increases its even mode characteristic impedance. This results in a higher degree of coupling. The results of simulation and measurement show that the new coupler achieves a high degree of coupling (5 dB ...

Design of Microwave Microstrip Bandpass Filters Using Defected Ground Structures
